WELCOME TO RAINSKATES
Greetings from Alaska, and welcome. Rainskates are custom, hand shaped skateboards that have old school roots and shapes, yet are fully functional for todays skating. From 70's flat, to deep concave double-kick blanks of the late 80's, we offer 6 different molded uncuts to work from. Have your favorite old deck re-created, or modify it the way you want.
While deck shaping is the prime focus here, we also have a line of cored wheels that have been widely acknowledged as "the best kept secret" out there. Be it getting across town, shredding your local ditch, or carving around that sweet bowl at the local skatepark, we have a high rebound wheel to cover your needs.
The Tsunami wheels are 65mm, and available in orange/85a, and green/95a. A 59mm "Mini-Tsunami" in the orange/85a compound has been out for a year now, giving riders of smaller decks the same great ride as the larger wheels.
In the Fall of '04, the 62mm/98a Yellow Jackets made their intro to the scene and continue to blow people away with their unmatched combination of speed and grip. Joining them were the 65mm Hornets for big wheel fans, and the "Killer Bees", at 59mm x 38mm, with the same core and profile. Our latest wheel is the "STINGER", at 100a durometer. They are noticably FASTER wheel than the yellow wheels, with almost the same grip! Available in the 59mm, and 62mm sizes (for now).
Long overdue updates to the site, and a complete make-over of the collection are in the works.
4-1/2 years and some 400+ custom decks later, I've acquired over 100 original boards from the '80's, and have 40+ templates of my own to use as reference for shaping your next deck.(not to mention all the paper and cardboard tracings that have been sent).
